The 3D model
The Model tab shows the open Tekla model in 3D, exactly as Tekla holds it. That includes every part and every bolt: copes, cuts, plates, clip angles, base plates, anchor rods and grout. Parts are coloured by their Tekla class, the same way Tekla colours them.
It only works inside Tekla Structures, with a model open.
Open it
- Open the Structure panel in the sidebar.
- Click Model.
The model opens as an editor tab, so you can split it beside a sheet. It is read again after every change Fablnx or the copilot makes in Tekla — a push, a wall, a plate, a cut, a stair — and when a member changes in Tekla, so you never need to refresh it.
Move around
| Do this | To |
|---|---|
| Left-drag | Orbit |
| Middle-drag or right-drag | Pan |
| Scroll | Zoom towards the cursor |
| Double-click a part | Orbit around that point |
| Iso, Top, Front, Side | Look from that side |
| Fit or F | Fit the selection, or the whole model when nothing is selected |
Select
Click a part to select it. It turns yellow here and is selected in Tekla too. Ctrl- or Shift-click adds a part to the selection or removes it. Click empty space, or press Esc, to deselect.
It works the other way round too: select something in Tekla and it lights up here.
With one part selected, a card in the corner shows its name, profile and material.
Change the model
Make every change in Tekla, or push a sheet from Fablnx. The 3D view shows the result once Tekla has it.
